What is the Backyard Pickleball Bash?

BPB is a revolutionary sports + festival mashup that brings pickleball back to its authentic roots, the backyard, while providing a unique and entertaining experience for casual to moderate pickleball players and playful partiers. Here, you're immersed in the tastes, music, games, and great vibes of a close friend's backyard.

What if Pickleball Isn’t My Thing?

Do you enjoy competition? Relaxing? Vibing? The BPB has it all; join us for the most incredible festival tour celebrating backyard vibes! The Bash unites athletes, artists, and spectators who love sharing good times. You can take a dip in the pool, groove to the music, and grab a tasty treat and a cold beverage.

Is this a Pickleball tournament?

No, this is not a tournament - it’s a backyard bash with lots of pickleball including mini-brackets , original games, skills contests, coaching clinics and how-to sessions – all celebrating pickleball’s playful competitiveness. Have fun, hang out with friends (old & new!) and win cool prizes (and, of course, bragging rights). We’ll also have plenty of great food, backyard games, pool party and live music & entertainment to round out this backyard bash. 

Why not a tournament?

It's important to know we LOVE competition. If you like to play to win, come on in. We believe handicapped elimination tournaments are limiting and, frankly, getting a bit boring. If tournaments are a must for you, we have some "mini-brackets -competitions” based on general skills-set not handicapping, they are also open to all ages within the skill-set, because 70’s granddads love crushing 20 year old chads. They are mini because they have smaller player pools, are built for speed, and are only a mini portion of the festival’s playful competition. 

Who is coming?

Today, we are calling all pink flamingos. Those who believe in big ideas, play boldly, dare to be different, believe in others more than themselves, and seek comfort in discomfort. Pink flamingos flock together as a symbol of standing out, embracing uniqueness, and being unapologetically audacious. So, join us as we embark on this exciting journey to be part of something extraordinary. 🦩

What are the festival run times?

Gates open at 8:00am, and the festival ends at 8:00pm. Pool party starts at 12:00pm.

What’s included in the VIP ticket?

With our VIP tickets, we prioritize comfort and convenience. Our commitment to providing a seamless experience extends to the personal touches & details.  As one of our besties, expect surprises & delights as you enjoy the day. 

VIP tickets also include entrance to Pool Party + Priority Access to premium competitions such as Beat the Pro, Battle Royale and other can't miss action.

Will parking be available?

Free parking will be available.

Can I bring kids?

Yes, we have a few ourselves. The more the merrier! But there is no kiddiezone. Children 10 & under can receive free admission with a ticketed adult. Kids 11-15 (AKA, the “Big Kids Table”) will require their own paid ticket. The pool party is open to all ages.

What am I allowed to bring with me?

Your competitive spirit and your playfulness!

Pragmatically - bags (purses, backpacks, totes) and one refillable water bottle are allowed, and will be subject to search upon entry. No other outside food or beverages will be allowed. Lawn chairs and umbrellas will be permitted. 

Leave Rover at home - sorry, no pets allowed.

What happens if it rains?

Your safety is our greatest priority. While this is an outdoor event, we will do our best to remain agile and schedule as much fun as humanly possible over the course of the festival. Covered courts will be used for some activities.
